These are awarded on a daily basis by staff throughout the Academy. Each merit has a value and a code which should be input online. Students can work towards milestones and also exchange the value of their merits for items in the shop.
These are awarded on a termly basis by Leadership in the Academy. Students will receive a letter in the post as well as a merit sticker. These are awarded on a half-termly basis by Curriculum Leaders and Lead Teachers for excellence in subject, programme or college areas. Each merit postcard has a value and a code which should be input online. Students can work towards milestones and also exchange the value of their merits for items in the shop.
Merit Milestones are awarded to students who have been awarded large amounts of merits throughout their time in the Academy. Students will receive a special badge to proudly wear on their blazer as well extra merits as a reward for each milestone.
The milestones are handed out during assemblies by College Leaders.

Awarded by the Curriculum Leaders and Lead Teachers for an outstanding contribution. Maximum 5 per half-term.

Awarded for 100% attendance each half-term.

Awarded by Curriculum Leaders and Lead Teachers for excellence in the subject each term. Maximum 10 per half- term.

Awarded for effort in tutor time.
Maximum of 3 awarded per tutor, per week.

Awarded for service around the Academy by non-teaching staff.

Awarded after achieving 5 consecutive 1 merit stickers in each college / subject / programme.
Value - Gold 3, Silver 2 and Bronze 1.
Awarded during International week and other special events

Awarded for taking care around the Academy by any member of staff.
