Walking the Walsingham Way

on 13 February 2011.

We are well into the new year now and having made our New Year's Resolutions together, we are endeavoring to stick to them and 'Walk the Walsingham Way.'  We have given many certificates out in assembly to students doing just that.  Certificates have been awarded to students who have gone out of their way to help others, who have done exceedingly well in the merit tables, who have excelled in various subjects including efforts in SAS, who have had excellent attendance, who have soldiered on at school during difficult times, to mention but a few.

EMMA PLEWS is our Walsingham CHAMP at the moment as she is top of the merit table across the whole of the Academy at the moment!!

AMY BATTERSEA got our 'Cheerful CHAMP' award as she has this relentless and wonderful way of always offering a smile to cheer you up - staff and students alike.

LAI WAH TSANG is a constant source of information and inspiration in terms of promoting the Everest Expedition.  Just last week we held a fund raising cake sale for the Expedition and staff and students helped to raise nearly 200 pounds for the cause, which is a fantastic effort.

TOM MAGGS has been a constant support helping out in assemblies every Tuesday.

A special mention must also go to LUCY DAY and SAM SADLER who have been spending their own time providing quiz questions and answers every Friday for Walsingham College - many thanks for your help, you two!

A reminder that there is a Year 8 Options Evening this Tuesday February 15th, and Friday February 18th is a Teacher Training Day so students are not expected to attend.

Can I also wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day!
