TGS PSA
The aim of the Parents Association is to raise money to help fund resources to enhance all of our children’s education. The monies raised contribute to all interests at the school, from Music to Maths books; from Sports equipment to playground benches; from notice boards to white boards; from Drama to Languages. We are confident that all pupils benefit from the school enhancements brought about by your fundraising.
During this last academic year, £10,000 has been handed over to the school, the hard fought proceeds of 21 fundraising events. These include the 333 Club; raffles; year 7&8 discos; plant, car boot and table top sales, quiz night, pupil entertainment evening, floral evening, refreshments at school concerts etc; and the summer fayre.
Our summer raffle draw was made at the end of June. The winning tickets were:-
1st – Leanna Leung - All-inclusive family holiday to Turkey 2nd – J O’Malley – Bannatyne’s pamper day for two 3rd – Martin Tabberer - £50 Early Years voucher 4th – Liz Henry – Sunday lunch for two at The Town House Restaurant 5th – Caroline Trigg – Family entrance to Cadbury World
Congratulations to the winners and thank you to all those who felt able to support this fund-raising event. We managed to realise a profit of in excess of £450 from the raffle. Please have no doubts that your efforts and support are relevant and do make a difference.
There are a number of key ways in which you can continue to help raise funds - Join our 333 Club - £12 per annum – Contact Khalid Zaman – 07739 049517 - Continue to support our Christmas and summer raffles - Support at least one fund raising social activity per year
- Get your business or employer to sponsor or provide raffle/tombola prizes
333 Club
There are places available in the Association’s monthly lottery draw. This is only £1 per month and is a significant fundraiser. For many parents, who may not have the time (or inclination?) to actively support other events on offer, the 333 Club is a very easy way for you to be able to contribute to the fundraising effort. Please contact Khalid on the number above or alternatively download one of our 333 Entry forms from the school website, fill it in and send to the school, c/o Mr Day, TGSPA
Have you any fundraising ideas? Would you consider offering help to the PA Committee? Are you able to contribute an hour a month to sit on our Committee?
Our next meeting is on Monday 6th September 2010 at 7.30 pm. We meet in the classroom on the right at the top of the main steps from the rear of the Upper School playground. You are very welcome to come along and get closer to your school.
