About

Tudor Grange Academy

Tudor Grange Academy, Worcester is a mixed, 11-18 comprehensive school with a capacity to serve 1100 students, including a sixth form of 200 students. It has developed an excellent reputation locally for its academic achievement, standards of behaviour and caring atmosphere, and is now over-subscribed despite being a very new school.

TGAW opened in September 2009; the Academy is sponsored by its sister school, Tudor Grange Academy, Solihull. The Executive Principal of the Academy, Jennifer Bexon-Smith, is a National Leader in Education in recognition of the support that TGAS has provided for other schools in challenging circumstances.

Examination outcomes for the Academy this year were record breaking: 98% of our students achieved at least 5 GCSEs or equivalent at grades A*-C, 48% of our students achieved 5A*-C including English and Mathematics. Many students have made outstanding progress in the years that we have been open and these results have established the Academy as one of the most rapidly improving schools in the country.

The extra-curricular life of the school is very vibrant.  Many of our students elect to stay on beyond the end of the school day and so we have created a culture of period 6 - students elect activities after school which naturally extend their day.  CLICK: Period 6
