Welcome

98% students achieved 5 A* - C grades (48% including English and Mathematics) representing another 10% rise and sustaining our outstanding progress as a school.

Tudor Grange Academy, Worcester is a mixed, 11-18 comprehensive school with a capacity to serve 1100 students, including a sixth form of 200 students. It has developed an excellent reputation locally for its academic achievement, standards of behaviour and caring atmosphere, and is now over-subscribed despite being a very new school.

TGAW opened in September 2009; the Academy is sponsored by its sister school, Tudor Grange Academy, Solihull. The Executive Principal of the Academy, Jennifer Bexon-Smith, is a National Leader in Education in recognition of the support that TGAS has provided for other schools in challenging circumstances.

Examination outcomes for the Academy this year were record breaking: 98% of our students achieved at least 5 GCSEs or equivalent at grades A*-C, 48% of our students achieved 5A*-C including English and Mathematics. Many students have made outstanding progress in the years that we have been open and these results have established the Academy as one of the most rapidly improving schools in the country.

Bilford Road and Drovers Way

The Academy has recently been made aware of issues being caused by parents dropping students off on Bilford Road and Drovers Way.  Clearly the aspiration is that students walk to school generally but we are asking that parents are mindful that there have been near misses caused by parents dropping students off whilst in traffic.

We are also concerned about the safety of crossing on Astwood Road opposite the convenience store.  We are working with local councillors to look at this as an issue but we request parents support us in reminding their children this is a potentially dangerous area to cross the road.

Please contact the Academy should you have any further concerns or queries.
